Апстракт:
Contemporary research in materials physics (a scientific discipline within condensed matter physics) is focused on the development of new materials and technologies that will have a major impact on the energy efficiency, ecological sustainability and environmental preservation, but also the development of quantum computers. This very dynamic research combines quantum effects (usually related to the nano-world) that are expressed and observable at the macroscopic level. In addition to the pronounced speed in scientific research, contemporary research is also very extensive, so in this paper we have limited ourselves to the leading 5 topics that are most significant in material physics. Whether these topics will remain relevant or be replaced by new, currently unknown ones, time will tell.
