Apstrakt:
Modern production at modern time involves the use of software packages for 3D designing and equipment for additive manufacturing (AM), formerly known as rapid prototyping (RP). These new tools and technologies lower the costs for design, but also allow rapid creation of fully functional components. This paper describes the rapid prototyping technology (FDM and 3DP), that were used to create elements and tools for the application in wood industry. Total costs of manufacturing of sample elements and tools are analyzed also. The problem of minimizing the cost of production is, undoubtedly, one of the main objectives of rapid prototyping. These costs are divided into fixed and variable. Work focuses on the optimization of the production costs of prototypes as well as costs of small serial production, respectively, and optimization of variable costs (the cost of treatment, costs of enforcement, material costs and cost of postprocessing).
